Holly Gilder
Reader
Literature lover and almond croissant connoisseur.
Following her Ba from The University of Edinburgh, Holly graduated with an Ma in English literature from The University of Bristol. Throughout her studies she has focused on environmental literature and ecocriticism, centering on practices of 'unmastery' that see the human as embedded within, not dictating above, the more-than-human world.
Outside of her academic studies, Holly loves to read widely, enjoying experimental fiction and poetry. Luckily, she spends most of her time surrounded by books in her role as a bookseller. She also reads with Asylum Seekers and Refugees as part of her voluntary work in Bristol.
Though an avid animal lover, Holly doesn't yet have any pets, but hopes one day she'll get a greyhound or a borzoi, and maybe even a few chickens.
