Head of Art and Layout
Converted animal-lover by friends and family
Jessica strives to live as an artist, spending her days painting, drawing, writing poetry and playing music when she's not teaching art classes. Art helps her to reflect, remember, and celebrate.
She grew up in a large family (made larger with two dogs and three cats named after Harry Potter characters) and lived on every continent except Australia and the Poles. She just completed three years of teaching middle school in China.
She now works as a dorm mom at her alma mater, Stony Brook School, and coaches girls volleyball (her mom is her assistant coach!).
Her art is varied -- oil, pastel, graphite, and acrylic -- and vibrant. Inspiration drives her work and stays through completion. She values work that displays a unique, beautiful moment and carries a weight that lasts beyond viewing.
