ANIMAL RESCUES

Our Inspiration, Our Partners

We feature one article dedicated to a small animal rescue in each issue and donate 40% or $100 (whichever is more) towards the featured shelter.

We consider not-for-profit 501(c), no-kill shelters and animal preservations. We prefer that writers be affiliated with the shelter or regularly volunteer, but anyone with a big heart and close attention to detail will be considered.

Writers are encouraged to interview, visit, and share their amazing local shelters. Published articles will be posted to our website with information regarding the shelter. So far, we have been able to support

  • Jacob's Hope Rescue in Long Island, NY

  • Angels for Mistreated Animals in Brooklyn, NY

  • Humane Society of Ventura County in Ventura, CA

  • Marty's Place: Sanctuary for Senior Dogs in Upper Freehold Township, NJ

  • Hawai'i Marine Animal Response in Kailua, HI

Honeyguide Literary Magazine is partnered with All About Pets Rescue, a Long Island animal shelter that cares for cats, birds, livestock, small pets, and any animal in need. They receive 10% of the funds generated in our shop and monthly donations. We also support them with the annual poetry contest hosted by our poetry magazine, The Fieldguide.

Please see the link below to donate to All About Pets and our sponsored rescue to see the wonderful things they are doing for local animals.
