Jellyfish Beached

Poetry

Blue Bubbles

i suffer

from the delusion

that some kind fisherman—

i only need one—

will consider me

not trash, but real

like the rose fish

he holds up turning

dazzling sunlight

and then releases

instead, clearly

i lie here—

magnifying grains

of sand he treads upon—

drying, dying,

reflecting sky

perfect blues
